AXA PPP healthcare’s involvement in the AXA PPP Health Tech & You programme is not only to discover and highlight great health tech innovations, but share this knowledge with its membership and client partners for the benefit of their own employees.
One company embracing health tech is Arup, an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists who operate on a global scale, with employees who may need to access healthcare information 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world.
We spoke to Evan Davidge, Head of Reward UK-MEA at Arup who told us that the company has engaged with health tech through a combination of its own internal initiatives and using AXA PPP healthcare’s Employee Health Gateway, which features many innovations, resources and information collated via the Health Tech & You programme.
This forward thinking approach has benefited Arup through a reduction of 442 lifestyle risks among its staff, resulting in an annual saving of £291,000. It is also 653 years younger as an organisation.
“It is becoming a commercial imperative for all businesses to embrace health technology,” says Evan Davidge. “New advancements in telematics, telemedicine and data science are already paving the way for new generation technology which will revolutionise the way that healthcare is managed more proactively and responsively in businesses.”
As a lead adopter in health tech, Arup is a shining example of a company embracing health tech to help improve the health and wellbeing of its employees.
